PrayerWhat is prayer? It is communication with God: praising God, requesting help or telling Him about your day and being grateful for your countless blessings. It is really simple, just talking and listening to God. Prayers can be short and simple but very effective*. It doesn’t even have to be on your knees, it can be while you are doing your weekly food shopping, washing dishes or on your way to the pub!
When to pray? When to pray? There are different types of prayer, the simplest way to work it out: When you have had a good day, thank God When you have a need, pray.* When you are offended, pray.* When someone you love is sick, pray.* When you get a promotion, pray. When the sun is shining and the flowers are in bloom, for those things, thank God. When you don’t know what to do, pray.* Whatever situation you find yourself in, pray.* Yes, the God who made the universe and everything in it, loves to hear from you! How amazing, is that!! He wants to help you; He wants to know you love Him, or that you appreciate the weather. God wants to be a part of our everyday lives and not just on Sundays, but He will not intervene unless we ask through prayer.
The most important prayer This is letting Jesus become your personal Lord and Saviour. He died so that our sins are forgiven; we can live and enjoy our everyday lives, then spend eternity in heaven when we die. It’s a really simple prayer: Lord, I thank you that you died to forgive my sins. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. In the name of Jesus, Amen. If you have prayed this simple prayer or to know more, call Tony on 01312291917 or 01314476684.
